WHAT IS THE WATFORD SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS PROGRAMME?

Watford Borough Council has partnered with Sustainable X to deliver a programme of specialist workshops, tools, resources and grants to help Watford-based businesses lower their business carbon footprint and become more environmentally sustainable.

For businesses who meet the application requirements, the programme will include:

One to one business advice and support from a Sustainable X advisor.
A specialist programme of workshops, both online and face-to-face, which explore practical ways to be more sustainable and lower your carbon footprint.
Tools and resources designed for businesses to plan and measure progress.
One-to-one guidance from sustainability experts.
Unlimited access to the Watford Sustainable Business Programme resources.
Grants from £500 to £5,000 and signposting to additional funding schemes.
Watford Sustainable Business certificates and logo on completion.
CPD certificates for staff attending workshops.

Who can apply?

A business can take part in the programme if it meets the following criteria:

It operates in the Watford Borough Council administrative area.

How much is the grant worth?

Businesses can apply for grants of between £500 and £5,000. Further information will be available to those taking part in the programme.

How long does the programme run for?

The programme is coming to an end and will close on 30 June 2022.
The grant element of the programme will close when all of the grant monies have been awarded.
